Refilling process at the BTSC service
Purchase of new cartridges is necessary, yet it is too costly to buy them on a regular basis. BTSC offers its customers to refill and recover cartridges. Quality refilling and recovering of cartridges is not simple – it requires special knowledge, experience and skills. Improperly refilled cartridges using unsuitable tools and without the necessary knowledge may not only reduce the quality of print-outs but also damage the cartridge. BTSC offers the most up-to-date cartridge refilling service also outside Latvia, and, to assure you of this, we provide a description of the BTSC cartridge refilling service process:
When the cartridge arrives at our service, the BTSC courier who has brought the cartridge makes an entry of the service order in our system. If the cartridge has been brought to our service for the first time, the system attributes a special identification number to the cartridge (hereinafter the “ID”) that is printed out on a special durable label attached on the cartridge body. From this moment, the history of your cartridge begins, that will allow identifying all the events related to the cartridge. And if you are an online user of BTSC, you also can see all the event history by entering the cartridge’s ID number in the Service history section. In case we receive the cartridge again, it is scanned into the system using the barcode on the ID label;
The cartridge refilling specialist (hereinafter the “Specialist”) who has accepted the order from the system for its execution prints out the work order that includes the ID of the order cartridge, as well as any notes made by the BTSC courier that are essential in the order execution. The Specialist carries out diagnostics of the cartridge by printing out a test page using a printer with the given cartridge type. Only after complete diagnostics a decision is made regarding the cartridge parts to be replaced by making a note in the work order next to the cartridge's ID;
The next step is assembly of the parts to be replaced, which is carried out in the warehouse. In the system, the warehouse worker attaches the parts to be replaced to each cartridge using its ID. That way accurate history of the parts replaced in a given cartridge is always maintained;
The Specialist disassembles the cartridge, cleans all the parts using equipment certified for this purpose and refills the toner – it weighs not less than the original manufacturer’s cartridge. Thanks to the certified toner packing equipment that is at the BTSC disposal, we can guarantee that the amount refilled in our customers’ cartridges is not less than in the cartridges manufactured by the original manufacturer. There are numerous cartridge models that we refill by deliberately packing larger toner doses than the original manufacturers. Our customers appreciate this added value, since more printouts can be obtained from such cartridge, which means additional economy for the customer;
The toner is purchased from the manufacturer in large packs. However, each cartridge needs its own toner dose. During the toner packing process, settings of toner doses matching the particular cartridge type are made in the equipment, then toner is packed in the packing provided for this purpose, after which a label is attached bearing the code, name, series and weight of the packed toner;
Finally, the cartridge is assembled and the Specialist caries out diagnostics of the cartridge by printing a test page using a printer with the given cartridge type. Only if the quality of the print-out is perfect the Specialist completes the service order and delivers the cartridge for its further packing;
When the cartridge has arrived at the packing, its parts are cleaned carefully and BTSC carries out the cartridge’s weight control using certified electronic scales. After weighing, the system registers in the cartridge history the weight of the cartridge after refilling (these measurements also will be available to the customer at any time in the Service history section when searching by the cartridge's ID). A special BTSC weight control label is attached to the cartridge body;
The next step is packing the cartridge in a special impact- and damp-resistant packing (airbag) which is equivalent to the original packing of the cartridges manufactured by the original manufacturer. The cartridge is put into a cardboard box on which the cartridge’s code, ID, customer's name, date and time of refilling is printed. Finally the cartridge is ready to be delivered back to the customer.
